EEG Earphones: A Model of “Daily Life” Emotional Interaction

The exhibited EEG earphones are another milestone achievement of Guoke Xinnao in the BCI field. With periaural EEG acquisition technology as its core, the earphones feature a non-invasive dry electrode/fabric electrode solution to achieve millisecond-level precise detection of 4 core emotional states: focus, relaxation, anxiety, and excitement. At the Expo, visitors could drive virtual characters’ behaviors in scenarios through “intent” simply by wearing the earphones, experiencing the real-time mapping of EEG signals and emotional labels and the unique charm of “immersive communication.”

According to on-site data, the EEG earphone project attracted more than 1,000 visitors to participate in the experience, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions with several enterprises (e.g., digital health platforms and educational technology companies).
